The opposition in Abkhazia stormed the parliament over an agreement with Moscow  - 1

Representatives of the opposition in Abkhazia protesting against the ratification of an intergovernmental agreement with Moscow on implementation of investment projects by Russian legal entities on the territory of the country, drove their cars through the metal fences in front of the parliament and broke into the building of the legislative body, reports a correspondent of TASS, quoted by Focus.

According to the agency, sounds similar to gunshots were also heard near the parliament.

Protesters pelted the police officers with stones and sticks. The police managed to push them back from the parliament.

The parliament of Abkhazia had to consider the issue of ratifying an agreement with the Russian Federation, which provides for the implementation of investment projects by Russian legal entities on the territory of the country. The opposition announced a protest and called on people to take an active part in it, considering the agreement harmful to the country's economic sovereignty.
