French President Emmanuel Macron again did not rule out the possibility of Western troops being sent to Ukraine. In an interview published today by the British publication “Economist”, he says that we must “ask (this) question” if Moscow breaks through the front lines and Kiev asks for it, France Press and BTA reported.
„If the Russians break through the front lines and there is a demand from Ukraine – which is not the case today – we have to legitimately ask ourselves the question”, the French president told the British weekly. To rule it out a priori means that we have not learned the lesson of the past two years, when NATO countries initially ruled out sending tanks and planes to Ukraine before finally changing their minds, the French leader added.
