„Compatriots, we are starting a working visit to Russia to discuss priority topics of the bilateral agenda after the re-election of Vladimir Putin as President of the Russian Federation”, the publication says.
Dias-Canel also noted that during his visit to Moscow, he and his delegation will participate in a meeting of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council. “All this is happening within the framework of the 64th anniversary of the restoration of our diplomatic relations and the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War“, added the Cuban president.
Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yury Ushakov informed journalists about the visit of the President of Cuba to the Russian Federation. On May 9, leaders of foreign countries and other foreign representatives will participate in the military parade. "After that, the leaders of the CIS countries will leave Moscow and our president will hold talks with the president of the Republic of Cuba," added Ushakov. He specified that Diaz-Canel will visit Russia on May 7-9 on a working visit.
