Over 20,000 families affected by the floods in Kazakhstan received one-time aid from the state, the government press service reported.
According to the latest data, 20,601 families received a one-time payment of 100 monthly calculation indices (369,200 tenge or 839 USD) amounting to more than 7.4 billion tenge (16.8 million USD). The volume of state aid for dead livestock exceeded 1.1 billion tenge (2.5 million USD).
In addition, 130 families have already received houses and apartments to replace the destroyed homes. In the regions of Aktobe, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan and Pavlodar, 239 new houses are being built for the affected citizens. In addition, 568 families received compensation for home repair and restoration in the amount of over 710 million tenge (1.6 million USD). A total of 9,995 residential buildings were inspected in the affected areas, and assessments were carried out at 7,522 sites.
Since March, due to the spreading disaster, more than 119 thousand residents of several regions of Kazakhstan have been evacuated. According to the Republic's Ministry of Emergencies, more than 54,000 people have returned to their homes.
