Ukraine against Russian blackmail: Zelensky urges unity - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a sharp appeal to the international community to resolutely oppose blackmail by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This statement followed Putin's threat to use a new hypersonic missile against Kiev, reported France Presse, quoted by BTA.

"Any blackmail by Russia must be resolutely opposed," said Zelensky in his evening video address, which is regularly distributed on social networks.

The Ukrainian leader accused Putin of deliberately obstructing efforts to end the war.

"He doesn't want an end to the war. What's more, he wants to prevent others from ending the war as well," emphasized Zelensky.

According to the President of Ukraine, Russian actions are aimed at sabotaging international initiatives for peace. Zelensky also emphasized the threat to global stability if the world does not respond firmly to Moscow's actions.

"He can continue to brandish his threats only to thwart President Trump's efforts, which the US leader-elect is sure to undertake once he takes office. To fail to end the war," noted Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president concluded his statement with a call for unity among Ukraine's allies, stressing that only a firm and coordinated response can counter the Kremlin's aggressive policy.
