China can actively mediate the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis and help find a compromise, Wang Zaibang, a senior researcher at China's Taihe think tank, told RIA Novosti.
The joint statement following the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing stated that the Russian Federation and China proceed from the fact that to resolve the Ukrainian crisis it is necessary to eliminate its root causes, and that Moscow welcomes Beijing's readiness to play a constructive role in the issue of political and diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
In a press conference after his visit to China, Putin noted that the topic of resolving the Ukrainian crisis was raised during his informal meeting with Xi Jinping, adding that China sincerely seeks to resolve this issue.
„China can actively mediate, listen carefully to the views of all sides and formulate a constructive compromise, and can also contribute to reaching one among all sides,” Wang Zaibang said, answering a question about what role it could play plays China in solving the Ukrainian crisis.
He added that China could also provide support in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
„A quick end to the crisis would help contain the American policy of proxy wars, which has become a fundamental policy of the US government, its main goal is to create chaos in the world, maintain the hegemony of the dollar and the overall hegemony of USA“, he said.
The expert noted that “since the hegemony of the dollar relies on the strength of the dollar, the US economic technology can no longer effectively maintain the stability of the dollar, it can only rely on the existing status of the dollar payment currency and demonstrates reliability than the dollar, which creates problems.
According to him, “Russia's strategic interests require an early end to the war, and the best way to end the war is to reach a compromise, not total victory for one side and total defeat for the other.

„We need to create a group of renowned experts, visit the relevant countries, develop a solution plan, transfer it to the responsible departments of the relevant countries for discussion and feedback, then make changes and finally enter into formal negotiations“, said the expert.
Moscow has repeatedly shown that it is ready for negotiations, but Kiev introduced a ban on them at the legislative level. The West calls on Russia for negotiations, for which Moscow shows readiness, but at the same time the West ignores Kiev's constant refusals to engage in dialogue.
Earlier, the Kremlin stated that now there are no prerequisites for the situation in Ukraine to move in a peaceful direction, the absolute priority for Russia is the achievement of the goals of the special operation, at the moment this is possible only with military means. As stated by the Kremlin, the situation in Ukraine can pass in a peaceful direction, provided that the actual situation and new realities are taken into account; all Moscow's demands are well known.
