Ukraine can shoot down planes in Russian airspace with Patriot systems.

"It is quite possible that the Patriot systems are now used in the Kharkiv region, and on the territory of Russia they are excellent for combating Russian aircraft that can drop terrible bombs,” said the head of the German-Ukrainian Situation Center, Major General of Bundeswehr Christian Freudig quoted by Tagesshau.

According to him, the responsibility for the use of the systems rests solely with the Ukrainian military.

"They can be used within the framework of international law, there is great confidence that the Ukrainians will not only adhere to this, but also do it with great tactical skill and achieve success,”, the general stressed.
