Beijing opposes this "normal trade" between Russia and China to be used to denigrate the country, UNIAN summarized.
Chinese leader Xi Jinping stated this during his meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda. According to him, it is now necessary to avoid the expansion and exacerbation of the war in Ukraine, to contribute to the "cooling of the situation" and to create conditions for peace negotiations.
"This is in the interest of the international community, including Europe. China opposes some people deflecting the conflict and defaming China under the pretext of normal trade between China and Russia.
China encourages and supports all efforts that contribute to the peaceful resolution of the crisis and the establishment of a balanced, effective and sustainable European security architecture," the statement said.
In addition, the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Poland is ready to play a constructive role in promoting EU-China relations.
The US, UK and other countries accuse Beijing of providing Moscow with support that allows it to continue waging war against Ukraine.
China says it does not send weapons to Russia and supports ending arms deliveries "to the battlefield". They are also calling for peace talks but have refused to send representatives to the Swiss peace summit.
