British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is expected to meet King Charles III today to formally resign after the Labor Party's landslide victory in yesterday's election, later today, Reuters reported. Before that, he will give a statement to “Downing Street” 10 (the address of the British Prime Minister's residence) at 10:30 a.m. local time (12:30 p.m. Bulgarian time), BTA reported.

Labour Prime Minister-elect Keir Strummer will then meet the monarch at Buckingham Palace before delivering a speech from “Downing Street” around 12:20 p.m. local time (2:20 p.m. Bulgarian time), the agency adds.

"The change starts now", announced the leader of the Labor Party, Keir Starmer, quoted by the heavy artillery of British journalism in the "Times", and added: "We did it!". The newspaper noted that the Labor leader thanked his supporters after his party won the election.

Labour is celebrating a decisive victory, commented the press in Great Britain today.
