The official representative of the Taurian grouping of the Ukrainian troops, Dmitry Likhovy, said that the Ukrainian armed forces still do not see any signs of preparations for an advance of the Russian army in the Zaporozhye region, reports "Reuters".
Earlier, Likhovi said that Russia has amassed 90,000 troops in the occupied parts of this area, and the number continues to rise.
"There are still no particular reasons for concern about this number - 90 thousand" Likhovy said on Ukrainian television.
"90 thousand in the Zaporozhye region, in the area that affects the operational-tactical group "Zaporozhie", - this is the entire operational depth of the Russian defense in the Zaporozhye region, where they have their fortifications, there are occupied cities and ports - Melitopol, Berdyansk, this is not a group that concentrates for an offensive."
"There are no signs of the formation of an offensive group of Russians in Zaporozhye region, nor, by the way, in Kherson region," Likhovy added.
Earlier, a representative of the group of troops "Tavria" also said that in the last three weeks, the Russian group in the Zaporozhye region has increased by two thousand servicemen.
