The United States is reducing gas supplies to Europe, thus making it difficult for the Old Continent to refuse Russian fuel, commented in the edition of Business Insider. US fuel exports to Europe are said to have declined as the Americans prioritized Asian markets due to higher prices.
At the end of July this year, Europeans received 1.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States, and at the same time, Russia supplied Europe with 1.3 million tons of such fuel. In this regard, the publication writes that the difference in the volume of LNG supplies between the two countries has decreased and last month it fell to the minimum recorded since the end of 2021.
The author of the article warns that continued fuel imports complicate European plans to cut off Russian gas.
