Ukrainian troops carried out an attack with unmanned aerial vehicles against an aviation plant in the Lukhovitsky district of the Moscow region and the "Design Bureau for Instrument Making named after Acad. A. G. Shipunov" JSC in the city of Tula, the administrative center of the Tula region, which specializes in the production of air defense missiles, Ukrinform reported, referring to a publication of the General Staff (GS) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on "Facebook", BTA reported.
"As part of the reduction of the enemy's missile and bomb potential, on the night of June 11, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), in cooperation with other units of the AFU, struck the "P. A. Voronin" aviation plant in the city of Lukhovitsy (administrative center of the Lukhovitsy region - ed. note), a subsidiary of the "Russian Aircraft Corporation "MiG"" AD", the statement said.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that this enterprise carries out a full range of activities - from mechanical processing of parts to final assembly, flight tests and deliveries of Russian "MiG" fighters.
Explosions and a fire were registered on the territory of the enterprise, Ukrinform reported.
"In addition, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), in cooperation with other parts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, struck the "Design Bureau for Instrumentation named after Acad. A. G. Shipunov" AD, which specializes in the production of missiles for enemy anti-aircraft missile and anti-aircraft missile and artillery systems," the text also states.
Explosions were recorded, smoke in the sky above the industrial zone, as well as ambulances and specialized fire trucks moving towards the site. The damage caused by the strikes is in the process of being clarified, notes Ukrinform.
