Four people were killed and 13 wounded in massive Russian shelling on the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy, DPA reported, citing representatives of local authorities .
For the last 24 hours, about 260 attacks with various weapons have been carried out in the Sumy region. It is believed that the main supply line for the Ukrainian troops that have invaded the neighboring Russian Kursk region passes through the region, DPA notes.
In addition to new soldiers, ammunition and other support for Ukrainian military units are being sent to the front line through the city of Sumy.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced earlier today that it has sent more artillery to Russian forces fighting Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, Reuters reported. "More rockets and artillery have been delivered to the (army) group," said a statement from the department for supplies to the military units in the border areas.
