Gold continues to rise, hitting new all-time highs according to trade data. At 8:06 a.m. Bulgarian time, December gold futures on the New York Comex exchange increased by $14.9, or by 0.58%, to $2,595.45 per troy ounce. Minutes before, the index reached a new record of 2,598.2 dollars, cited by BTA.
December silver futures also rose 0.67% to $30.312 an ounce.
Since the beginning of the week, the price of gold has increased by 2.85%, and silver – with 7.5%. Analysts point out that the rise in prices is a result of the tense global situation, with gold remaining a preferred "safe haven".
