The US will not allow Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes on Russian territory even after a missile attack on an institute in Poltava killed 53 people. This was emphasized by Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder at a briefing, the "Strana.ua" publication reports.
"Regarding our long-range hitting policy, I have no news of any changes at this time,”, Ryder said.
He also promised to further strengthen Ukrainian air defenses.
On Tuesday, two ballistic missiles hit the territory of an educational institution in Poltava. 53 people died and 298 others were injured. Five may still be under the rubble.
