Two pairs of Russian strategic bombers conducted training flights over the neutral waters of the Chukchi Sea and the East Siberian Sea as part of the "Ocean-2024" exercises, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported, quoted by Reuters, BTA writes .
The two missions simulated airstrikes using cruise missiles against “critically important targets of the notional adversary”, the ministry said.
The “Ocean-2024“ are the largest since the Soviet era and will continue until September 16 in a vast area that includes parts of the Pacific and Arctic oceans, as well as the Mediterranean, Baltic and Caspian seas.
