Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced on his official profile on the social network “X&ldquo ; for a telephone conversation with the newly elected US President Donald Trump, in which he congratulated him on his victory in the elections, quoted by BTA.

The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Croatia and the United States, emphasizing cooperation in the fields of energy, defense and NATO commitments.

Plenkovic noted that the topic of continued support for Ukraine was also part of the conversation, especially in the context of global challenges. He emphasized that Trump expressed deep respect for the Croatian people, which was highly appreciated by the Croatian side.

Donald Trump, who won the presidential election on November 5, will take office on January 20 next year, when he will begin his second term.
