Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov is known for his frequent insane threats on Russian television. Now, however, he allowed himself something he had not done until now – demanded the resignation of Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin.
The presenter lashed out at Putin and the decisions of the entire military and political leadership of Russia related to the war against Ukraine. “The Special Military Operation“ it was supposed to be over in 3 days, but it didn't go according to the Kremlin's plan and is heading towards its third anniversary.
Until now, Solovyov was one of Putin's closest allies. For months, Solovyov has been calling from his safe television studio for Russia to destroy the West with nuclear first strikes.
In the social network X, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, published footage of Solovyov's speech. “I don't care what color the cat is, as long as it catches mice,” said the host. “Let us proceed to concrete solutions. If the resignation of the commander-in-chief is necessary...“, Solovyov began to explain, but sensing what he had said, he added that he could not make such a decision.
The Russian propaganda network tried to cover up what happened on national air, claiming that Solovyov did not say resignation, but a rate. But it is clear from the reaction of his guests that the Russian propagandist was seriously mistaken. There have even been speculations on social networks that soon Solovyov may slip and fall from the balcony.
On Russian television, such criticisms of Putin cannot be heard for the simple reason that they are subordinate to the Kremlin. There is no free media in the federation, and the authorities arrested thousands of citizens just because they said there was a “war” in Ukraine.
