Iranian Foreign Minister works Abbas Aragchi condemned from the UN tribune the "scandalous threats" that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made in the same place earlier yesterday, reported France Presse, quoted by BTA.

"I have a message for Iran: if you shoot us, we will shoot you. There is no place in Iran that our long-range weapons cannot reach, this applies to the entire Middle East," Netanyahu emphasized in his speech during the general political debates within the 79th annual session of the UN General Assembly.< br />
The representatives of the Arab countries and Iran left the hall while the Israeli prime minister was speaking.

Aragchi then made harsh criticisms of Netanyahu at a meeting of the UN Security Council. "It is a historical shame for a leading murderer to appear at the (United Nations) and poison the General Assembly with disgusting lies and outrageous threats that he will invade other countries and kill more people," the Iranian foreign minister said.

Aragchi then met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, TASS reported.

The entire Middle East is on the brink of war, Lavrov previously warned at a Security Council meeting dedicated to the situation in the region. He argues that the spiral of violence has gone far beyond the Arab-Israeli confrontation zone, destabilizing the situation in other regions.

"I want everyone to remember our unchanged position: there is no justification for the terrorist attack (by "Hamas" against Israel) on October 7, but it is unacceptable that all Palestinians should be subjected to collective punishment," the Russian foreign minister said.

Israel crosses the "red lines" of Tehran and the situation is becoming serious, said Ali Larijani, senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

His speech followed the Israeli attack on the central headquarters of "Hezbollah" in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Larijani told IRIB state television that the target of the Israeli army strike was the leader of Hezbollah. Hassan Nasrallah.

According to the adviser, "murders will not solve the problem of Israel (...) By killing the leaders of the resistance, others will take their place."

Earlier, a senior Iranian security official told Reuters that Tehran was checking Nasrallah's fate.

A source close to "Hezbollah" has confirmed that Nasrallah is alive.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the attack and called it a "clear and indisputable war crime that revealed once again the nature of the state terrorism of the Zionist regime (Israel)," Iran's state news agency IRNA reported.
