< p>The Israeli army has mobilized four additional reservist brigades since the start of the ground offensive against "Hezbollah" in Lebanon, DPA reported, referring to a statement by the military, writes BTA.
"This will enable the continuation of operational actions against the terrorist group "Hezbollah", the Israeli army announced.
An Israeli brigade usually consists of several thousand soldiers.
The army said it is currently fighting "Hezbollah" into neighboring Lebanon to destroy infrastructure and weaken the Iranian-backed group by pushing it over the border.
Israeli forces will not advance towards Beirut or any other city in southern Lebanon, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari stressed.
The military says the ground operation, which is limited to settlements in the border area, will end as quickly as possible. One of the main objectives of the operation is to enable the return to their homes of around 60,000 displaced residents of northern Israel.
