The President of the United States Joe Biden has ordered American forces in the Middle East region to intercept rockets aimed at Israel, France Press reported, referring to a statement from the White House, writes BTA.
Earlier today, sirens blared across Israel and Israelis headed for bomb shelters, while Iran fired about 200 rockets at Israel. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that this was in response to the killing of the leaders of "Hamas" and of "Hezbollah" Ismail Haniya and Hassan Nasrallah.
Due to the launch of the rockets, flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport, as well as through Jordanian and Iraqi airspace, were suspended.
Israeli air defenses have been activated and have begun intercepting rockets.
