Ryanair flight ready for take off at "Salento" in the city of Brindisi, Italy, was evacuated after a fire broke out. The emergency situation forced the passengers to go down the emergency slide, reports the Daily Express, quoted by Focus.
Nearly 200 Ryanair passengers were forced off the plane on the emergency slide after heavy flames erupted from the aircraft's engine.
Firefighters responded quickly, enabling the safe rescue of all 184 passengers on board.
After the incident on Thursday (October 3), authorities closed the airport. The official statement reads: "Due to a problem with a departing aircraft, Salento Airport" in Brindisi is closed."
