Joe Biden: There is still a chance for peace in Lebanon, but in Gaza the situation will get more difficult - 1

US President Joe Biden said today that it is possible to work towards a ceasefire in Lebanon, but that it will be more difficult in the Gaza Strip, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

Biden, who is visiting Berlin, told reporters that he has information on how and when Israel will respond to Iran's October 1 missile attack on Israel. However, the American leader did not reveal details.

Biden also said there is an opportunity to reach an agreement with Israel and Iran in a way that could temporarily end their conflict in the Middle East.

The American president said this to reporters at the end of his visit to Berlin.

Tensions are high in the Middle East, with Israel expected to respond to the Iranian attack.

"In my view - and my colleagues agree - there is an opportunity to come to an agreement with Israel and Iran in a way that will end the conflict for a while,", Biden said.

Joe Biden said today that there is no consensus on giving Ukraine long-range weapons.

Reuters notes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been pushing for months for such weapons that could be used to strike deep into Russian territory.

"There is currently no consensus on long-range weapons,", Biden told reporters in Berlin.
