Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris questioned physical endurance of his opponent from the Republican Party in the November 5 election, Donald Trump, while both held campaign events in the contested state of Michigan, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The agency added that Trump responded by pointing to the energy he demonstrated on the campaign trail.

Harris, who turns 60 on Sunday, told reporters that former President Trump, 78, is skipping interviews because he is tired and has missed his chance for a second term.

„This should concern us. If he can't handle the rigors of the election campaign, how will he handle his job?“, she told reporters before a rally in the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Trump, who arrived at a campaign event in Detroit, Michigan again, dismissed Harris' claims.

„I went 48 days without a break. I'm not tired at all. I'm actually excited. Do you know why? "We're crushing it in the polls because the American people don't want it," he said.

Trump visited his campaign headquarters in Hamtramck, where he was praised by the Detroit suburb's first Muslim mayor, Amer Ghalib. Trump is seeking the support of Arab-Americans in Michigan who are unhappy with Democrats, Vice President Harris and President Biden over America's support for Israel in the Gaza conflict.

„In the end, we want the same thing. We want peace in the Middle East. We will get peace in the Middle East. It will happen very quickly. It will happen with the right leadership in Washington”, Trump said, without giving details.

The state has about 8.4 million voters and is crucial to this year's election. Harris and Trump are waging a fierce battle for the votes of its Arab residents, seniors, unions and the working class.

At the same time, polls show an extremely small margin between Harris or Trump in Michigan and the other “wavering” states.
