The power supply in the Russian-occupied town of Energodar was interrupted after a Ukrainian drone attack, the governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky announced in "Telegram", DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

Energodar, which is located near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, has been under Russian control since March 2022. Balitsky called on citizens to "keep calm and take shelter in bomb shelters", noting that one person was killed in the attack .

Meanwhile, in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy, at least three people, including a child, were killed in Russian drone attacks overnight, the local military administration said. 25 Russian combat drones were shot down.

Drone attacks have also been reported in Russia itself. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 18 Ukrainian drones were shot down, mainly over the Bryansk region. According to media reports, the targets of the attacks were a rubber factory and a thermal power plant in the Tula region, as well as an industrial plant in the Voronezh region, where a drone crash caused a fire, which was subsequently extinguished.
