Lebanese movement “Hezbollah” today declared that there will be no negotiations during the fighting with Israel and took full responsibility for a drone attack on the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The group “takes full and sole responsibility“ about the attack on Netanyahu's house, Mohammed Afif, head of the Iran-backed extremist organization, said at a press conference in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Israel reported that a drone was fired at Netanyahu's residence on Saturday. Netanyahu was not there at the time, but described the attack as an assassination attempt by “Iranian puppet Hezbollah”. and called it a “serious mistake”.
„Hezbollah“ admitted for the first time that Israel had captured some of its fighters after the ground operation began in southern Lebanon and said Israel was responsible for their plight.
„Hezbollah“ has not captured Israeli soldiers, but Afif said the organization is close to doing so. “It won't be long before we have captives from the enemy (Israel),” he declared.
He also denied that the association “Al Qard al Hassan“ was involved in financing the salaries of “Hezbollah” or in the purchase of weapons, assuring that the association will fulfill all its obligations to customers, even though Israel carried out about 30 strikes on its sites on Sunday.
Israel and the US claim that “Al Qard al Hassan”, which has over 30 branches in Lebanon, is being used by “Hezbollah” for money laundering and terrorist financing.
