Ukraine will receive the first three fighters "Mirage 2000-5" from France in the first quarter of 2025, reported the French newspaper "Tribune", quoted by Ukrinform, writes BTA.
"In addition to the MICA air-to-air missiles, the three fighters "Mirage 2000-5" will be equipped, at Ukraine's request, with AASM bombs on "Saffron" for airstrikes and SCALP cruise missiles," the announcement said.
The fighters will also be equipped with two 30 mm cannons and radio electronic warfare systems, the newspaper adds.
Currently, the French Air Force has 26 such fighters in service. As the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barot previously confirmed during a visit to Kyiv, the delivery of the fighters is expected in early 2025, and they will be modified to strike ground targets , notes Ukrinform.
