The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the international community to respond to reports of new victims among the civilian population in Ukraine and the possibility of North Korean soldiers being involved in the conflict on the side of Russia, DPA reported.
"Ukraine will have to fight in Europe against North Korea," he said in his evening video address.
In his words, the lack of decisive action by Ukraine's partners only encourages Russian President Vladimir Putin to invest more in "terror".
"The world can stop the escalation of war. But for this we need deeds, not just words," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian leader recently demanded a number of immediate measures from Western allies as part of his victory plan.
The steps include inviting Ukraine to join NATO and arming it with Western financial resources.
Kiev has been fighting the Russian invasion for over two and a half years with the help of the West.
In successive attacks on Friday evening, Russian drones and rockets killed at least five people and wounded around 25 in the city of Dnipro and the capital Kyiv.
