Serbia remembers the consequences of the bombings of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 1999 and will never join the organization.
This is what Nenad Popovic, the minister responsible for international economic cooperation in the Serbian government, said in an interview with TASS.
He emphasized that 25 years ago, the people of Serbia fell victim to the NATO bombing, and Belgrade "was completely destroyed".
„And then, I assure you, Serbia will never be a member of NATO”, the minister stressed, “We conduct an independent and free policy”.
Popovic noted that despite European integration, Serbia “does not want to stop the development of bilateral relations with the BRICS countries: China, Russia, South Africa, UAE, Saudi Arabia and others”.
