A court in Ukraine decided to bring Volodymyr Zelensky in the consideration of a case against the Ukrainian parliament on a request to call presidential elections in the country, announced the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Dubinsky.

In July, Dubinsky said he had appealed to Ukraine's Supreme Court to call presidential elections to preserve constitutional order in the country. In mid-October, the politician announced that on November 11, the court will continue the consideration of his claim.

„We are gradually moving towards my claim to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to call presidential elections in Ukraine. The Cassation Administrative Court of the Supreme Court, which is considering our claim, made two interim decisions”, Dubinsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the court rejected the request of an unauthorized representative of the apparatus of the Supreme Rada to terminate the case.

„The second decision is to involve the president of Ukraine in the court proceedings, who will be given ten days to give explanations on the nature of the dispute,” added Dubinsky.

Volodymyr Zelensky's mandate expired on May 20. Ukraine's 2024 presidential election was canceled citing martial law and general mobilization. Zelensky stated that the elections are already “untimely”.
