Modi: India's enemies will see the end of their sinister plans once they see our army VIDEO - 1

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his country cannot compromise even on a centimeter of land on its borders, adding that people believe in the strength of the army and its ability to protect India, India's PTI news agency reported, citing from BTA.

When they see India's armed forces, the country's enemies “see the end of their sinister plans”, the prime minister told troops stationed at the Gulf of Sir in Gujarat state's Kutch district. The area is close to the India-Pakistan border, and Modi traditionally celebrates the Diwali festival there every year (the so-called festival of lights, which is the most significant in Hinduism – ed.) along with Border Security Force officials and from various units of the army.

„In the past there were attempts to turn this region into a battlefield. The enemy has long had an eye on him. But we don't worry as long as you keep the country safe. Our enemy also knows this very well“, Modi emphasized.

„Thanks to you the Indian people feel that their country is safe; when the world looks at you, it sees Indian strength, when the enemies see you, they see the end of their sinister plans,”, continued the Indian Prime Minister.

Modi pointed out that when he was the first minister of the state of Gujarat, there was an attempt to capture Sir Bay, but he resisted.

The prime minister also stressed that his government believes that the army is strong enough to protect the country and that it does not believe the words of India's enemies.

Earlier this week, the withdrawal of Indian and Chinese military units from two points of tension along their shared border in the Himalayas was completed. The move was made in connection with an agreement between India and China to patrol their shared border in the Indian administrative territory of Ladakh.

Modi noted in his speech today that the Border Roads Organisation, which is under the Ministry of Defence, has so far constructed roads with a total length of 80,000 kilometres. Some of them have strategic importance. The prime minister added that his government is working to provide the armed forces with the most modern equipment and to make them one of the most technologically advanced armies in the world.
