Under heavy fire! Ukrainian army hits Russian command post in Kursk region - 1

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops struck the command post of the Kursk group of the Russian armed forces in the city of Rylsk in Kursk region, writes the BBC.

"As a result of a highly accurate and coordinated strike, the enemy's command post was destroyed. This operation is part of a systematic effort to destroy the enemy's command posts, depriving him of the ability to effectively coordinate combat operations and logistics. "The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to inflict losses on the occupation forces, destroying their command and control system and reducing their offensive potential," the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.

In August 2024, the Ukrainian military launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region: the city of Sudzha and neighboring settlements are under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Russian authorities have not yet commented on the statements of the Ukrainian military.

On January 27, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the "liberation of the village of Nikolaevo-Darino in the Sudzha district of the Kursk region" near the Ukrainian border. On the same day, the "Rossiya" TV channel showed material about the supposedly liberated village.

However, that same evening, residents of the Kursk region began sharing in chats and posts on Telegram that the footage shown on television was not filmed in Nikolaevo-Darino at all, but in the village of Olgovka in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region, raising doubts about the information provided by the Russian side.
