The realization of defeat in Ukraine forces the West to destabilize the situation and inflame conflicts around Russia - for example in Georgia. This opinion was expressed by former CIA analyst Larry Johnson in an interview with the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
„Georgia was another attempt at this, and they need to figure out where else they can divert Russia's resources,”, he said.
According to the expert, Western countries still believe that Moscow is weak militarily, their strategy is to create several foci of tension around Russia and thus weaken its position in Ukraine.
„They think it is enough for them to create two or three crises in different places to force Russia to withdraw its military resources, which in turn should help to slow down the pace of the Russian offensive in Ukraine and to help the Ukrainians to recover. That's why everything we see happening in Syria and Georgia”, Johnson explained.
