Nikolcho Iliev, Ratko Dimitrovski and Lupcho Papazov, all former mayors of the Kochani Municipality, were detained this afternoon, reports Plusinfo, quoted by FOCUS.
The prosecutor's office informed that actions are being taken by police teams, by order of the Main Prosecutor's Office in Kochani, in connection with the fire in the "Pulse" disco.
"The action to detain suspects will continue throughout the night, and after the operation is completed tomorrow, the prosecutor's office will announce more information", the statement says.
Papazov is the retired mayor who left his post after the tragic fire in the "Pulse" disco, in which 59 people died people.
Dimitrovski was the head of the municipality from 2009-2017, and his successor is Iliev in the period from 2017-2021
