The Russian Border Service has begun issuing bans on entry to Russia to Ukrainians who were previously denied entry to the country during controls and inspections at Sheremetyevo Airport in the capital.
The restrictions are being introduced for a period of 20 to 50 years, TASS reports, citing court documents.
Ukrainians have usually not been allowed into Russia due to evidence found on their smartphones of their ties to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, special services, negative attitude towards the "special operation" or the Russian Federation.
After completing these checks, they are notified of their non-admission to the Russian Federation and are sent to the country from which they arrived at Sheremetyevo. Then a decision is made to ban entry to the Russian Federation.
One of the documents states that the Ukrainian citizen did not pass border control due to positive reactions to posts with servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces found on her social networks, as well as an interest in pro-Ukrainian content. Thus, she is banned from entering the country for 50 years.
In another case, the Ukrainian citizen was also not passed border control due to her support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition, the man had a negative attitude towards the special military operation and the actions of the Russian government, and contacts of employees of the special services and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine were found on his phone. Subsequently, he was banned from entering the Russian Federation for 20 years.
