We will vote "for" the resignation of the cabinet. But today "Vazrazhdane" will submit a draft resolution to oblige the Council of Ministers to request a postponement of Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone by one year. This was stated on the sidelines of the parliament by the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov, quoted by Nova TV.
He recalled that according to Article 5 of the Treaty on the Accession of our country to the European Union, signed in July 2005, Bulgaria and Romania were granted an exception. "And it is - a derogation for the entry of our country into the eurozone. This exception was repealed on July 8 by a decision of the European Parliament. However, we have the right to request an extension until January 1, 2027 due to the force majeure circumstance that has occurred," explained Kostadinov.
According to him, the force majeure in our country is not only the lack of a budget, but also the formation of a regular cabinet.
When asked when it would be logical to hold the next elections, the leader of "Vazrazhdane" said: "The upper limit, in my opinion, is the beginning of April. Because April 12 is Easter. The previous week, April 5, is Palm Sunday. There is no way it will happen. So it is best for the vote to be at the end of March, but it depends on the president how exactly the parliamentary roulette will unfold with the awarding of mandates."
