Today we will upgrade the mechanism for the introduction of the euro with the creation of a Coordination Center, headed by Vladimir Ivanov, Chairman of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (SCCM). This was announced by the outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov at the beginning of today's government meeting, BTA reported.
The task of the center is to coordinate the work of institutions at the central, territorial and municipal levels on all issues related to control activities, communication aspects and reaction to problems that citizens and businesses may encounter during the period of dual price designation and dual circulation of lev and euro, Zhelyazkov specified.
We count on citizens and businesses for tolerance and understanding that the introduction of the euro will have a long-term positive effect on the economy and for changing the environment in which the country is developing, the outgoing Prime Minister also stated.
From January 1, Vladimir Ivanov will be the person who will communicate with media representatives on all issues related to the introduction of the euro, Zhelyazkov also said.
