Judge of the Supreme Administrative Court Georgi Cholakov, who was the administrative head of the court, came out with a position regarding the recordings published by BIRD.BG, which allegedly show Cholakov talking to lawyer Vesselin Dimitrov, known as Vesko Lyutenička, who was an administrative judge.
In Cholakov's position, he denies ever having had such conversations.
"Modern technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital editing, allow the creation of false audio content, which can be used for suggestions and disinformation," the judge points out.
Georgi Cholakov assures that he will cooperates "fully with the competent authorities to clarify all facts and circumstances, and I hope that the investigation will be completed as soon as possible".
Incidentally, earlier today BIRD.BG published two recordings, in which Cholakov and Dimitrov are supposedly talking, and the topic is two cases for which a bribe was requested.
Here is what Cholakov's entire position says:
"In connection with the audio recordings distributed by the „Bird" website in the public domain, I categorically state that I have never had such conversations.
Modern technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital editing, allow the creation of false audio content, which can be used for suggestions and disinformation.
I will fully cooperate with the competent authorities to clarify all facts and circumstances, and I hope the investigation will be completed as soon as possible".
