The tax campaign for declaring income received by individuals in 2025 ends at midnight today, April 30, for those using electronic services, and at 5:30 p.m. for those who choose to submit their forms on paper at the offices of the revenue agency.

To date, over 718,000 people have filed their annual tax returns with the NRA, with nearly 88% of them choosing to do so through the Electronic Services Portal with a personal identification code /PIK/ or electronic signature /ESP/. Over 11,700 taxpayers have sent their forms by mail, and more than 71,000 have submitted them to a revenue agency office, the NRA added.

In April, the revenue agency reminded over 94,000 individuals who had not declared their income by e-mails of the need to declare them by April 30.

An annual tax return is filed by individuals who received income from fees in 2025, even if their tax was withheld in full by the payer of the income. Farmers and individuals who received rental income or taxable income from the sale of property last year must also fill out the form. The declaration also indicates some income from abroad that is taxable with final tax, such as dividends and liquidation shares, cash and non-cash prizes from games, competitions and contests that are not provided by an employer or client, etc.

Individuals who carry out activities as traders (for example, if they regularly sell goods on the Internet for profit), including sole traders, as well as farmers who have chosen this taxation regime, submit their annual income declarations by June 30, 2025. In the event that a sole trader or registered farmer who is taxed as an ET has also received income that is not related to this activity, such as from rent, they are declared by April 30, the NRA further specifies. There is no obstacle to declaring income from various types of activities by the end of April.

The easiest and fastest way to submit the declaration and pay the obligations is through the NRA's Electronic Services Portal, accessible with a PIN or QES. From March 10, users can also take advantage of the pre-filled declaration, which reflects data submitted to the revenue agency by employers and income payers.

Online payment is one of the most frequently used electronic services of the NRA, which provides taxpayers with the convenience of using it at any time of the day, as well as during weekends and holidays.

Information on completing and submitting tax and social security declarations and paying amounts to the budget can be obtained by calling the revenue agency: 0700 18 700 or 02/9859 6801, at a price according to the tariff of the respective operator and on the NRA website.
