The Commission for Energy and Water Regulation approved the price of natural gas for June in the amount of BGN 59.55 per megawatt hour without fees and levies.

The increase in the price is a little over 8% compared to May, according to the energy regulator, quoted by BNR.

"Regardless of the increase in the price of natural gas by just over 8%, the analysis shows that “Bulgargaz” has ensured favorable conditions for delivery, against the background of the ever higher percentage increase of the reference index TTF in May. On 31.05.2024, the last working day of the month, at the close of the Dutch stock exchange, the index TTF reached value 34.70 euros/megawatt hour, i.e. BGN 67.87/megawatt hour. The approved price of "Bulgargaz" for the month of June is BGN 8 lower", KEVR also says.

The energy regulator indicates that the role of gas supplies under the contract with Azerbaijan is growing, covering nearly 81% of monthly consumption

The secured quantities cover the commitments of the public supplier for June - to final suppliers and heating companies, as well as the quantities under bilateral contracts with industrial customers.
