The caretaker prime minister recalled: The second political power is still the DPS

Bulgaria, Greece and Romania signed an intention to create harmonized military mobility corridors

The second political power is still the DPS, the point is that the parliamentary group is not second largest. What is more important is that Bulgaria has a regular government. The president must hand over the mandate to the party with the second largest number. A specific deadline for handing over the mandate has not been signed.

This was commented by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev during his visit to Washington for the NATO summit.

"The President must hand over the mandate to the second largest party. No specific deadline has been signed for handing over the mandate, but it is believed that within seven days, it is normal for this to happen. It is more important for Bulgaria to have a regular government, and here at the NATO forum, a different attitude is observed when a country has a regular government and when it has a caretaker government," he pointed out.

"Yesterday, Bulgaria, Greece and Romania signed an intention to create harmonized corridors for military mobility. This represents faster movement along two corridors – direction south and north. One corridor is in the eastern part of Bulgaria, the other is in the western part. Turkey is also willing to join, but there the mechanism is different, since the country is not part of the European Union. European funds are used in the vertical corridors in question. Yesterday, an agreement was signed with Romania on special forces. We are working in these directions", Glavchev also explained.
