The Sofia-Varna high-speed train derailed in the area of Svoge station. This is what NOVA learned from the National Accident Investigation Board.
The incident happened minutes after midnight. Passengers said they first felt a strong vibration and then one of the carriages derailed. At this point, the train was moving slowly because it was near the train station. No people were injured.
According to the information received at the scene of the accident, luck was on the side of the passengers as the incident happened near the station and the train was moving at a slow speed. At the moment, the composition is moving three hours late to Varna. Water and waffles were distributed to the passengers.
