By this time already in the whole Elin Pelin municipality has gas. This happened thanks to the fire crews and employees of Bulgartransgaz, the mayor of the municipality Ivaylo Simeonov told BTA.

He pointed out that the gas pipeline, which is located in the area of the warehouse, is secured and cut completely so that there is no danger of explosion. The mayor added that all residents of the municipality have electricity.

According to Simeonov's data, in the municipality of Elin Pelin there are 23,000 residents with a permanent address, and 25,000 with a current address.

It will become clear after the fire brigade and the sappers arrive on the scene, he specified. The information that the mayor has is that on the day of the accident, after the end of working hours, there were between 4 and 8 people in the warehouses, which is also yet to be established. Usually about 20 people work there, noted Simeonov. The company, the owners, those who work are exceptional professionals, so I doubt that it is a question of a lack of professionalism, but rather a human or technical error, pointed out Simeonov.

Earlier today, the municipality announced that the residents of the Elin Pelin municipality will have the opportunity to meet with a psychologist if they wish. There will be several specialists, and the meetings will be at the Community Support Center this Monday.

To date, the air quality indicators in the village of Elin Pelin Station do not exceed the regulated norms and do not threaten the life and health of people and animals in the region, the press center of the Ministry of Environment and Water (MOEW) announced.

He does not think it is possible that ammunition for the military was stored in one of the warehouses. This is a warehouse for pyrotechnic products, periodic checks are carried out, it is unacceptable, said the director of RDPBZN - Sofia.

According to him, the fire is not being extinguished at the moment, the firefighters are waiting for the thunder to stop. Neighboring objects and the spaces around them are mainly monitored. We will enter when things calm down, when we discuss and assess that this is possible, today this is not on the agenda, Senior Commissioner Ivanov explained, clarifying that things are dynamic.

Yesterday, helicopters were cooling around the sixth warehouse, which is intact, it has not been affected yet, he added. Gas supply has been restored in the area of the village of Gara Elin Pelin, the director of the fire department also said.
