It is reasonable to do so, and the experts will decide to which ministry it will be assigned, said the former interior minister

The reason for the dispute between Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov and President Rumen Radev was the purchase of fire-fighting aircraft and equipment for the Ministry of the Interior.

"It is reasonable to buy equipment from the state. To which ministry she will be assigned is a matter for the experts to decide. There are arguments in favor of one decision, there are arguments in favor of the other".

This was commented by the former interior minister Emanuil Yordanov in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".

According to his words, the Ministry of the Interior would have nothing to do with this technique outside of the time when fires occur in the country, namely the few months in the summer. However, he sees no problem in transferring aircraft between ministries.

"Even if we say that the equipment should be purchased by the Ministry of the Interior, it can be seen that there are periods in which it is not used and is not needed, it can also be seen that there are no personnel to operate the equipment, then I see no reason from one ministry technique not to be passed on to the other. After all, we are one country", Yordanov was categorical on the air of Bulgaria ON AIR.

On Tuesday, Bulgaria caught fire again, this time burning more than 20,000 decares of a forest massif near Strumyani Municipality, Blagoevgrad District.

"These fires have not been burning since yesterday, they have been burning for over 20 years. It's been so many years and I haven't heard of any aircraft being purchased that can be used to fight fires," insisted the former interior minister.
