The District Prosecutor's Office - Haskovo is conducting a pre-trial investigation to establish the causes of the death of 32 -year-old man, detained for 24 hours under the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the detention room of the District Administration (RU) in Dimitrovgrad, reported the press center of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv.
It would be recalled that the detainee died in an alleged attempt to escape from the room on the fourth floor of the police building after falling from the window of the room in the incident around 5:00 this morning. He was arrested yesterday as a possible perpetrator of illegal trafficking of five illegal Syrian citizens. They were found during an inspection of the "Maritsa" highway.
The investigation is being carried out by an investigator from the District Investigation Department at the District Prosecutor's Office in Haskovo, the state prosecution said. Actions are being taken on the investigation, the message added.
