A serious three-truck crash has closed the international road for “Danube Bridge 2” between Montana and Vidin. Three people were injured. One was taken to the Montana hospital and, according to initial information, has head and body injuries.
The crash occurred minutes after 5 p.m. on a wet road. Shortly before the village of Smolyanovtsi, a Romanian truck traveling in the direction of Vidin missed a sharp and dangerous turn and its trailer hit an oncoming heavy truck.
A third truck crashed into it, which did not keep a safe distance and was unable to stop. The road between Montana and Vidin is closed. Traffic is being diverted. Heavy equipment is trying to clear the road and move the trucks, but there are many empty glass bottles scattered along the road.
