They are demanding higher salaries, decent working conditions and regulated working hours. The protest will take place in six cities across the country, BNT reports.

In Sofia, the protest will take place in front of the Ministry of Health. In Plovdiv, Pleven, Burgas, Varna and Stara Zagora, the discontent will be in front of the Municipal buildings.

A few days ago, the Union of Bulgarian medical specialists demanded an increase in salaries by 150% of the average salary and decent working conditions, otherwise they are ready for strike action.

The unions of the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions and the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions “Podkrepa“ also threatened with protests if the Minister of Health does not convene the sectoral council by the first 10 days of June to begin negotiations on the new Collective Labor Agreement.
