Another protest of the medical specialists is coming, FOCUS reported.
The protest actions are scheduled for June 2 from 4 to 10 p.m. in front of the Ministry of Health and the National Assembly, announced the National Trade Union "Protection", which announced that they will join forces with young doctors and medical students for the future of Bulgarian healthcare.
They added that in their opinion this is not just a protest: "This is the energy of the young, supported by the experience of those who do not give up. This is an alliance between people who believe that here and now we can change the direction. The young doctors and students do not want to leave Bulgaria – they want to stay, to treat, to serve our society. But in order for them to do so, we all have to show them that they are not alone, we are with them... To restore respect, security and the future of Bulgarian healthcare!"
Earlier today we announced that the protests will continue in several more regional cities, including Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Varna, Burgas and Pleven.
Among the protesters' demands are a salary for young doctors of 3.5 times the minimum wage, regulated working hours, safe working conditions, 150% of the average salary for healthcare specialists.
