Financier: The state is bringing total chaos and traders are raising prices

We should not interfere in economic and financial relations, said Preslav Raykov

"We will never be able to prevent an unjustified increase in prices. The intervention that the CPC wants to impose on traders is harmful. In these excessive powers for these regulators, another flavor of some state chains is visible. All these measures and regulations are a bit late, which is why we see a rush by the entire state to pour regulations. Traders are passing this uncertainty onto consumers," said financier Preslav Raykov on the show "Denyat ON AIR".

In his words, "this with the deficit of goods" is quite exaggerated, we are not in 1996. There cannot and will not be any shortages of any goods in Bulgaria, we have an external market, the expert emphasized.

In front of Bulgaria ON AIR, Raykov pointed out that traders do not know what the final regulation will be and are taking insurance by raising prices before the adoption of the draft law.

"This led to this PR experiment with the Eurozone. The campaign for the Eurozone deserves 100 times more attention. The euro does not change prices, it does not lead to inflation. It leads to an attitude. And when attitudes are confused with state intervention, then chaos ensues," he pointed out.

According to the guest, many of the products with or without the Eurozone have been in a positive development trend: "Many of them have fallen in price. The state's intervention was reasonable, as long as the functions scheduled before the Eurozone had to be respected.

It would be better if there was no excessive meddling in price policy, but to focus on where their work was before, noted Raykov.

He believes that over the past 5 years, large food chains have been treated as almost obligated to the well-being of the Bulgarian people. "These are chains that in a large part of their policy are many times more adequate than all other market participants. Our market is limited in how many chains have room here - 3-4 chains can satisfy demand", commented the financier.

Raykov is of the opinion that Bulgarian producers who produce a quality product cannot cope with the demand for the product. "Bulgarian consumers want to consume foreign products, they don't want to consume only Bulgarian ones", the financier pointed out.

He again insisted that we cannot limit someone in how much profit they make.

"We should not interfere in economic and financial relations. The state brings total chaos, and all factors remain in force in a roundabout way," said Raykov.
