Israel has agreed to the "initial withdrawal line" for Gaza, which was also presented to the Palestinian group "Hamas", and once "Hamas" confirms, the ceasefire will immediately come into effect, announced on his social network "Truth Social" US President Donald Trump, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

"After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we showed and shared with "Hamas". When "Hamas" confirmed, the ceasefire will go into effect IMMEDIATELY, the exchange of hostages and prisoners will begin and we will create the conditions for the next phase of the withdrawal, which will bring us closer to the end of this 3000-YEAR DISASTER. Thank you for your attention to this issue and STAY IN THE LINE!", the president wrote.

Trump accompanied his publication with a map of the area. It shows a yellow line inside the Gaza Strip, 1.5 to 3.5 km from its border, according to Agence France-Presse.

The US president yesterday increased pressure on "Hamas", warning that he will "not tolerate any delay" in implementing his plan to release the hostages held in the Gaza Strip and a ceasefire with Israel, the agency recalls.

Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, are traveling to Egypt to complete discussions on the terms of the hostage release, the White House announced yesterday.

"Hamas" and Israel will hold indirect talks on Sunday and Monday in Cairo on the release of hostages held in Gaza and prisoners from Israeli prisons, Al-Qahera News, a television network affiliated with Egyptian intelligence, reported yesterday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last night that he had asked his negotiating team to travel to Egypt to hold talks on the release of the hostages, but did not specify when they would take place.

Donald Trump called on Israel on Friday to "immediately stop the bombing of Gaza" to allow the release of the hostages after Hamas said the group accepted his plan.

However, his call had no immediate effect, as the Israeli army announced yesterday that it was continuing its operations in the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Civil Defense reported at least 57 deaths in Israeli strikes yesterday.

"Hamas" must act quickly, otherwise all options are on the table. I will not tolerate any delay," Trump said on "Truth Social" yesterday morning, while ruling out "any outcome where Gaza still poses a threat" to Israel.

"Let's do it quickly," he insisted, referring to the implementation of his plan, which calls for a ceasefire, the release of hostages within 72 hours, a phased withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, the disarmament of "Hamas" and the exile of its fighters.

"We are close" to an agreement for a permanent cessation of hostilities in Gaza, the American president said yesterday in an interview with the news website "Axios", adding that he would make efforts to make it a reality in the coming days.

Trump highlighted the role played by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, explaining that he was "very helpful" in convincing "Hamas" to release the hostages.
